Lip palettes are all the rage for Spring 2017. Anastasia Beverley Hills and Urban Decay have two of the most popular on the beauty market right now. The are gorgeous, but also $48 and $25 respectively.
I decided to go drug store instead of prestige. Wet n Wild is a brand that has been around for a very long time. In the last couple years they have upped their game considerably. Their limited edition lines are flying off shelves and ending up on Ebay and YouTube beauty gurus are showcasing their products.
I recently purchased the limited edition Perfect Pout From Heart To Finish Lip Palette. It has 16 shades, ranging from white to deep plum. At only $5.99, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The colors are beautiful, but very sheer. The are not long lasting at all. I found that they work best as a lip gloss, on top of the lipstick you’re already wearing. The real disappointment is the amount of product you get. The one picture shows several colors after just 1 use. I have already “hit pan” on them. You will be lucky to get 2 – 3 uses out of each shade. On a positive note, the double sided lip brush is awesome. l wouldn’t consider it a full size lip brush, but it works well and doesn’t shed.
The saying ‘you get what you pay for’ definitely applies to this palette. It’s best for your little sister or daughter who is just getting started on her makeup journey. For this old timer, it’s a pass.
